We live in a world of appearances.
It is smeared with notions of self satisfaction.
All we think about is me, me and me alone.
We refuse to see things from the perspective of others.
We refuse to see how we fit into the big picture.
We take the most convenient route out.
We believe we are the center of every ideal or concept.
It must work for us. If it does not then it does not belong.
We make the Truth relative.
In the end nothing is true anymore.
This indulgence in convenient interpretation of the Truth is coming back to haunt us.
The shortcuts we took in the past, the woes we chose to ignore, the ills we have done in the past, are now calling for their dues.
No matter how we choose to interpret reality, reality remains as it is.
It will not change simply because we believe it is otherwise.
It is easy to hide these false interpretations under the namesake of progress and change.
And the world likes progress and change.
Yet we must always ask ourselves, where is this change leading us?
The world may say it is okay.
But in Truth it is not.
Some day those who chose to ignore it will come to pay the price.
You see this is how the world works.
When we give something, we gain something in return.
We work for the harvest.
We spend the effort to acquire something.
Even by suffering we gain its relevant experiences and lessons.
So that we may use these to translate into greater gains in future.
If we choose not do do so then we pay the price for it.
The world is made fair and neutral.
It is not God's fault when things go wrong.
It is our choice that made it so.
Even in the worst of situations, there is the more positive option to choose.
Yet we are so often defeated by our own fears that we choose to hide in its shadows.
In false belief that its cold shadow will protect us from reality forever.
They may be a time to hide, but hide only for rightful purposes.
Hide so that we may gather strength to face it some day, and not so that we may not need to face the Truth.
Reality is definite and unyielding.
It is made clear right before our eyes, and we given the means to fairly discern it.
Some may be given more, some may be given less.
Some may be called to endure more suffering, some are given more graces.
Yet one thing still remains on our hands, no matter how cruel fate can be.
That is the ability to choose which way we will go from here on.
Some choices are hard to swallow, yet those are the right ones to follow.
To take the easy way out means being one step closer to eve greater suffering.
It is not what is easy that counts.
It is what it right that matters.
If we do not align ourselves with what is true and real,
then how can we expect things to go well for us?
The irony is that we can never know what is right.
We who are built with so much imperfections simply cannot comprehend what is perfect.
It is the same with science.
There are gaps in our collective knowledge.
Phenomena we cannot explain.
Things we simply can't get to the bottom of it.
All we have now are approximations of the Truth.
Isolated clusters of perfection, but no unified theory to explain everything.
The same goes for how we perceive things.
We can come very close to the absolute right, but never fully right.
There will still be some gaps we cannot fill.
Yet we still have to make decisions.
That is where all faults begin.
We say the wrong things.
We adopt the wrong plans.
And everyone will do the same thing.
The gaps add up and here we are, trapped in our own ignorance, refusing to admit what went wrong.
That is why I can never really blame someone else for his wrong.
What faults he has, I am as likely to get it as well.
What inaccuracies he has, I am as likely to get it as well.
What's left to be done, is to narrow down this gap of inaccuracies and get as close as possible to the Truth.
The closest approximation to the Truth.
That is better than nothing at all.
The world may play its game of appearances.
But the wise will not indulge in it.
Appearances are necessary so we may stay afloat in this world.
But behind that veil must lie a system that is true and sound.
One that is able to make the right choices.
One guided by the right things.
One that is able to take anything.
No matter what darkness he has seen, he still will say the world is beautiful.
Because this is what the world is made of.
For one to truly love life and be at ease with it he must accept both the good and bad parts of it.
The faults are not there because God wills it.
They are there because of the faults built within our choices.
People say I'm being positive about life.
Sometimes more so that justified.
But what other choice can I make?
Other than to see it in a better light and be at ease with life, am I entitled to other options?
We must keep changing for the better.
And that must still be so, even in the most dire of circumstances.
Because no one will bother if we stay stagnant for too long.
We must be responsible for ourselves.
